WELCOME
Covington Ventures exists to serve both business and philanthropic endeavors by providing consulting services. This organization also helps our family identify, prioritize and engage with financial and philanthropic investments.
We choose to collaborate with leaders who demonstrate proven core values: Integrity, Strategy and Growth.
Integrity
Honesty, authenticity and follow-through are foundational requirements. We participate only with organizations with true cultures of honesty and transparency. Integrity and passion fuel the soul. And, Integrity is more than honesty of words and action. Integrity encompasses the entire endeavor, the entire team, the way of working, the attention to detail. Integrity of the connective tissue between strategy, people, process and technology. Our philanthropy is integrally based on our faith in Christ.
Strategy
Focus is fundamental. Singleness of purpose for all actions - this is the stuff of champions. Peter Drucker and Michael Porter proved the importance of Strategy. We invest in strategies that have been well-thought-through with long, gradual track records of steady journey in a specific direction - with painstaking steps taken in order to refine and persist toward measurable progress. We only invest with experts - those rare people who have humbly dedicated themselves to their particular craft for many years. Strategy must include differentiation. The defendable moat of a strategy is important. Our business ventures focus on America-first businesses and includes secondary, global reach. Our phlanthropy begins with our local church and includes intential outreach to underdeveloped or underserved peoples around the world.
Growth
Growth of people and measurable results. Profitable growth is an important indicator of viability in business. But, it does not completely define success. We strive for growth of individuals, teams and organizations. In philanthropy, we look for ways to come alongside existing organizations to continue paths that earlier or wiser teams have established. Growth involves optimism toward a better future. A growth mindset recognizes that every individual is embued with immeasurable value by God. As such, we endeavor to treat every person we meet with respect, care and love - knowing that everyone matters. May our eyes be open to see each person as we walk by the way.
